Five-minute quickstart
Create, install, and verify your first CookieBeam consent banner in about five minutes.
This path takes you from a new account to a working consent banner. You need access to your site's HTML or tag manager.
1. Create a banner
Sign in to CookieBeam, open Banners, and create a banner for the website you want to protect. Complete the initial setup and save your changes.
2. Review the consent experience
Open the banner designer and confirm the categories, text, and buttons match your requirements. Use the preview to exercise accept, reject, and preference choices before publishing.
3. Publish the configuration
Publish the banner to production. CookieBeam assigns a public Banner ID and prepares the loader URL for that published configuration.
4. Install CookieBeam
Choose one installation path:
- Add the script tag directly when you can edit the site's HTML.
- Import the CookieBeam template into Google Tag Manager when tags are managed in GTM.
5. Verify before announcing completion
Open the site in a private browsing window with storage cleared. Confirm that the banner appears, non-essential tags wait for consent, and changing preferences updates the site's behavior. Test both an accept path and a reject path.
